What is the CDBS?

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is an Australian Government program that allows eligible children to access $1,132 in benefits over two consecutive calendar years. The scheme covers most basic general dental services, but not specialist services like orthodontics or services provided under general anaesthetic.

Which Children Are Eligible for CDBS?

A child is eligible if they are:

• Eligible for Medicare
• Aged between 0–17 years
• The family receives a relevant Australian government payment such as Family Tax Benefit Part A
